Goldberg Segalla has announced the addition of Andrew J. Simmers to its Global Insurance Services practice group in Philadelphia.
Andrew Simmers will counsel and defend insurers in coverage litigation across state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. His expertise includes handling third- and first-party coverage disputes, focusing on general liability, construction defects, and property damage. He leverages his experience representing policyholders in first-party property claims to offer insightful policy interpretation and robust defense strategies.
Previously, Simmers represented defendants as a certified legal intern at the City of Philadelphia Law Department, securing summary judgments for the City in tort cases. During his law school years, he interned with Hon. Glynnis D. Hill at the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
Simmers holds a B.A. from Temple University and a J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law.
