Governor Gavin Newsom is set to hold a virtual press conference tomorrow to discuss new initiatives aimed at addressing homeless encampments across California. The event will take place on Friday, October 4, at approximately 11 a.m.

The announcement will include the introduction of new funding awards and enhanced accountability measures designed to assist individuals experiencing homelessness throughout the state. Governor Newsom will be joined by Gustavo Velasquez, Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development, along with other local leaders.
