A historic home in Greensboro, North Carolina, known for its appearance on A&E's "Hoarders," has been listed for $5.25 million. The Julian Price House, an English Tudor Revival mansion built in 1929, was featured in the season nine finale of the show.

The episode centered more on its eccentric owner of 42 years, Sandra Cowart, than the house itself. Cowart, an interior designer by trade, had filled almost every inch of the 8,616-square-foot home with various items including dolls and moldy furniture.

In 2015, Michael and Eric Fuko-Rizzo purchased the home for $415,000 at a foreclosure auction. The property came with Cowart's hoard and Cowart herself, who squatted on the property for six months before being forced out.

Extreme cleaning specialist Matt Paxton described the house as so full of junk that he couldn't access half of it initially. It took dozens of workers more than 1,000 man hours to clear out the property.

Despite significant challenges—including mold discovered in a prohibition-era tunnel—the Fuko-Rizzos invested heavily to restore and refurbish the residence. Today, it operates as an Airbnb rental at $1,600 per night and is marketed as a posh venue suitable for weddings and other events.

Listing agent Kay Chesnutt of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Yost & Little Realty describes the house as a monument: “You certainly couldn’t build a house like this again because you couldn’t find the craftsman,” she said.

The Julian Price House sits on 1.62 acres in Greensboro’s Fisher Park Historic District and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Fuko-Rizzos have renovated various aspects including electric systems, plumbing, heating and air conditioning while maintaining historical integrity.

The eight-bedroom home features high-end touches such as copper gutters and custom moldings. It also includes common spaces like a great room, sunroom, library, screened porch, finished basement, gardener’s cottage and three-car garage.

Prospective buyers are required to make an appointment at least 24 hours in advance due to ongoing engagements through Airbnb bookings.
