Fans of "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" have been enchanted by the show's portrayal of luxurious mansions with panoramic views of snow-covered mountains. Much of the series is filmed in Park City, Utah, a ski town known for its extravagant homes and scenic winter landscapes.

Park City is one among several opulent ski destinations where affluent individuals gather during the snow season. Homes in these areas often reach prices in the tens of millions, with Park City alone having 15 properties listed on Realtor.com starting at over $20 million. Despite this, Park City ranks fifth on a list of the most luxurious ski towns, all featuring numerous listings priced above $5 million. Telluride, Colorado tops this list, followed closely by Aspen, Colorado.

Joel Berner, senior economist at Realtor.com, states that "three of these ski towns have a third or more of their for-sale listings on the market for $5 million or more." He notes that "Telluride, Aspen and Teton Village (Jackson Hole) are no strangers to the luxury segment," highlighting that only 0.6% of home listings nationwide exceed this price point.

These Western ski markets are renowned for their premier skiing conditions and thus command high property values. In Telluride alone, 38.50% of listings exceed $5 million. The area is popular among celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey and Tom Cruise and boasts extensive skiing terrain at Telluride Ski Resort.

Aspen offers access to world-class skiing across four mountains managed by Aspen Skiing Company. It attracts high-profile residents like Kurt Russell and Kevin Costner. Soffia Wardy from Aspen Snowmass Sotheby’s International Realty describes Aspen's real estate market as dynamic due to limited inventory and strong demand.

Teton Village in Wyoming provides challenging skiing opportunities at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort while Big Sky in Montana offers vast terrain near Yellowstone National Park. Nancy Bauchman from Big Sky Community Organization praises Big Sky's community atmosphere.

Other notable locations include Jackson in Wyoming with low taxes attracting buyers; Vail in Colorado famous for outdoor activities; Incline Village in Nevada known for its lakeside setting; Cashiers in North Carolina offering proximity to nature; Sun Valley in Idaho celebrated for its arts scene; and Steamboat Springs in Colorado noted for its unique snow quality.

Each town presents distinct attractions but shares a common appeal: luxurious living amidst some of America's finest skiing environments.
