Trina Washington Deputy Director of Operations | State of California DMV
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has announced the reopening of its Long Beach office, located at 3700 East Willow St., on Wednesday, November 13. The office was temporarily closed on November 7 for preventative maintenance.
The DMV emphasizes the availability of online services for many tasks that do not require an in-person visit. "Most DMV tasks do not require an office visit, including simple self-service transactions that are no longer available in offices," the DMV stated. Customers are encouraged to use online services and other channels for transactions such as driver’s license and vehicle registration renewals.
For those interested in paperless notifications for vehicle registration and driver’s license renewals, the DMV advises signing up through a secure online account at dmv.ca.gov.
