Insurance claims adjusters get some pretty strange calls for claims that seem unbelievable, like the family in Lutz, Florida who heard strange noises only to discover their kitchen coming apart and hole growing underneath their home.
The family got out to safety and worked with their insurance company to make repairs, Fox 13 reported.
Sinkholes have become so common that Florida and Tennessee require insurance companies to provide coverage for damages, the Insurance Information Institute said.
Nine different times a New Brunswick, Canada couple have seen cars crash into their home since they moved there in the 1970s. Terry and Maureen Noble said the frequent crashes have caused them to avoid the far section of their house, CBC reported.
