Financial performance by Grinnell Mutual put it on the Ward Group’s 2020 Top 50 Property and Casualty Performers list for the fifth year in a row.
“It is always an honor for Grinnell Mutual be recognized by Ward’s as a top 50 property and casualty insurance company. To be part of that list five years running is an accomplishment we’re very proud of,” Jeff Menary, president and CEO of Grinnell Mutual, said in a company news release. “We’re grateful to our employees, members, and agents, who always put in the work to ensure our continued growth and financial security.”
Grinnell Mutual, which offers insurance products for Florida customers, also received an “A” rating from AM Best, the company reported. The insurance carrier has earned this rating every year since 1991.
To compile its ratings, Ward Group examines 3,000 property-casualty insurance companies in the U.S., according to the press release. Primary safety and consistency tests must be passed by the Top 50 companies. Ward Group analyzes assets, growth in revenue and in surplus, total revenue, equity and combined ratio.
Ward Group is in its 30th year of conducting the analysis.
